Humor Winning Writing > How to Survive Left-handed Syndrome

Only a distinct few people have overcome the "left-handed syndrome." Countless times lefties have been cornered in a "right- handed" world! It started at an early age and continues as long as they have life.
Countless times a lefty is confronted with doing every day tasks like a right-hander. For those who have been blessed with being left-handed, they have learned to adapt. In other words, they must do ordinary tasks as if they are right-handed. These tasks include tying shoes, using a telephone, walking down a hallway, buttoning shirt buttons, using household appliances, shifting gears with manual shifts, opening doors, filling out forms with check marks and innumerable other common tasks.
What is the answer? Get use to using a mirror, find a left-hand friend, or God forbid, convert to using the right hand when learning new tasks. Better yet, force yourself to become ambidextrous. However, I have found the “follow your gut” philosophy to big your greatest asset. May not the best, but it is less desirable than constant and lifelong frustration. Thank the good Lord a pen and pencil never dictate to their users!!! •
