The Dream

Ever since I received a personalized pen-and-pencil gift set from a co-worker in my 20s (story here), I've dreamed of the day when I would have a legitimate reason to consult with a company like Graphite Pen & Pencil Company to order my own personalized writing instruments — preferably as promotional giveaway items for my multi-million dollar business. Alas, while pining away over the years waiting for that opportunity to happen (it still ha$n't), I've had a number of brainstorms about what else I could use personalized pens for, as you'll soon see.

How I wish I had tons of pen-money to buy and distribute free pens ala Found Art! with fun inspiring things on them to everyone deserving, but I don't. Still, the itch to see my business name gracing the barrel of a lot (250) of pens was finally scratched in late 2009 when I decided to take the leap into "table-topping" my creativity coaching services at a holistic health fair/open house for businesses related to the arts, holistic healing, self-growth, and creativity. See, with space limitations I had reasonable room for my logo, Web address, and tagline — which I found far more important than my name. Still, I knew something was missing.
